The Foundations One course teaches you both the physical and mental steps of swimming. As an adult learner who is responsible for your safety and learning process, you not only need simple step-by-step instructions on how your body and the water work, but also how to create an emotionally safe environment. Our course handbook, talking sessions, and tested progression allows you to create this optimal learning environment. You can expect to learn how to move with confidence and ease in the water while increasing your self-trust and ability to keep yourself safe.

Airfare, meals, transportation to and from the airport, and book your room at Napili Kia Resort. Once you register for the course with Orca you will use our link to book your room. Make sure to let them know you are booking with Orca to get the discounted rate.

You will be able to choose your room and have as many guests per room size as you would like. Your guest is welcome to enjoy Maui on their own while you are in class. We are happy to provide recommendations for beaches and activities. There are several different beaches, a golf course, a walking path, tennis, and pickleball all within walking distance of the resort. There will be plenty of time in the evening to watch the sunset together, enjoy a great dinner and share the day’s adventures.

Yes, the resort will give your our group discount rate for 3 days before or after our course together. Remember to tell them you are with Orca when you reserve your room.

At a minimum, you should take the morning flight on Sept. 7 so you will have time for the 45-minute drive from the airport to the resort and meet up at 3 pm for our first pool session. Plan to leave no earlier than the evening flight (5 pm or later) on Sept 11. We have a final morning swim that is done by 10:30 am so you can shower and check out. There is a room and space to store your luggage if you want to remain at the resort for lunch and relax before heading off to the airport.

No. To hold your spot you need to pay a first payment which includes the $500 non-refundable program fee. Program fees to Orca are due by April 1, 2023, to be able to get the early bird discount. Your room at Napili Kia Resort will require the first 2 days paid at the time your reserve your room. The total balance will be due to the resort by June 1, 2023. Discounted room rates are between $375-560 depending on the room your choose. All rooms have a kitchen and private outside sitting area. Amenities included (no extra resort fee) wi-fi, golf, shuffleboard, onsite beachfront restaurant, parking, fitness room, direct access to the beach, beach towels and chairs, and more.

Full refund (minus the credit card service fee generally 5%) with in the first 24-hours of enrollment. Partial refund (minus credit card fee generally 5% and deposit $500) from 25 hours after enrollment until May 1, 2023. This is due to the very limited size of our group. Partial refund will be considered after May 1 if we are able to find a student to take your place. Flight, resort and other travel expenses are subject to their own refund policies.
